The East Timorese Uaimuhi ( Portuguese Ribeira Uaimuhi ) is a river in the north of Timor in the municipality of Baucau . Outside of the rainy season, like most others in the north of the country, the river falls dry.

course

The Uaimuhi arises in Suco Uaitame . Flowing northwards, it joins the Uaicua . In the Suco Guruça the Otorocaiboro flows from the left and the Maucolo from the right into the Uaimuhi. The Maucolo has its source in Guruça, the Otorocaiboro in Baguia and crosses Abafala .

After the Uaimuhi has followed part of the border between Guruça and Afaçá , it flows into the Suco Tequinaumata . Coming from the east, the Bibilio joins the Uaimuhi here. The Bibilio rises in the border area between Tequinaumata and Namanei . Two other rivers, coming from Namanei and Afaçá, flow into the Bibilio. Finally the Uaimuhi flows into the Strait of Wetar near Laga .
