Uchentein is a village in the French Pyrenees . The municipality , which existed until the end of 2016, belonged to the Occitania region , the Ariège department , the Saint-Girons arrondissement and the Couserans Ouest canton . It bordered Salsein to the north, Les Bordes-sur-Lez to the east and south-east , Bonac-Irazein to the south-west and Balacet to the west . It was merged with Les Bordes-sur-Lez to form the Commune nouvelle Bordes-Uchentein with effect from January 1, 2017 . Since then it has been a Commune deleguée.
