Udall is a city ( City ) in Cowley County in the State of Kansas in the United States with just under 800 residents.
geography
Udall is located north of Winfield in northwest Cowley County and covers an area of just under 1.5 km². The city is about 40 kilometers away between Arkansas City in the southeast and Wichita in the northwest, to whose catchment area the place is one.
history
The first post office opened in September 1879, two years later the place was founded in honor of a writer Cornelius Udall . On May 25, 1955, an F5 tornado swept the town, killing more than one in ten residents.
Demographics
As of the 2010 census, there were 746 people, 289 households and 203 families in the city. The median age in the city was 31.7 years.
