Udo Margedant

Udo Margedant (born June 17, 1942 in Neuwied ) is a German political scientist and adjunct professor for social history and social philosophy in Wuppertal.

Life

Udo Margedant studied political science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . There he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. in 1962. Greiffenstein in CV . In 1968 he was in Frankfurt with the work social and political theory of the Abbé de Mably . A contribution to political philosophy in the second half of the 18th century doctorate . After completing his habilitation , he became an adjunct professor of social history and social philosophy at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Udo Margedant built the State Center for Political Education (LpB) in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and was its first head in 1992. Until 2005 he worked in various positions at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung , most recently in the Politics and Consulting Department there with policy analysis and questions of principle. He was particularly committed to the federalism reform project of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

In 2004, Udo Margedant and Thomas Fischer ( Bertelsmann Foundation ), Gerhard Hirscher ( Hanns Seidel Foundation ), Gerhard Schick ( Market Economy Foundation ) and Horst Werner ( Friedrich Naumann Foundation ) published the publication Federalism Reform in Germany - A Guide to Current Discussion and on the work of the Federal State Commission , which played a major role in the discussion on federalism reform in Germany.

After 2005, Margedant succeeded Max Hanecke as President of the CV Academy in Bad Honnef .
