Ulbering is a part of the municipality Wittibreut in the Lower Bavarian district of Rottal-Inn . Until 1976 it formed an independent community.

location

Ulbering is located about three kilometers northeast of Wittibreut on the Ulberinger Bach in the Isar-Inn hill country .

history

On the upper reaches of the Ulberinger Bach a Celtic square hill from the middle and later Latène period (approx. 400–50 BC) was opened in Biberg . Ulberingen was first mentioned in a document around 1170/1180. A pastor Imbert von Triftern gave away his farm in Ulbering to the Asbach monastery . 1532 the place is called Ulbaring .

It is uncertain whether Ulbering is a real -ing place and thus goes back to the Bavarian conquest . The name could go back to the personal name Othal, Othil, Odila, then it would be real, but it could also be traced back to the Latin “ulva”, reed, which would indicate a so-called “fake” -ing place name.

Ulbering formed a chairmanship , which in 1532 belonged to the office of Pfarrkirchen , 1665 to the office of Triftern of the district court of Pfarrkirchen, and later of the Reichenberg district court .

The Ulbering municipality emerged from the Ulbering tax district formed in 1809 . In 1840, as in 1964, it had 29 districts. In 1840 the municipality of Ulbering as well as the municipalities of Wittibreut and Wiesing were assigned to the Simbach district court. Ulbering later belonged to the district office and district of Pfarrkirchen . As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Ulbering was largely incorporated into the municipality of Wittibreut on January 1, 1976, while other parts came to the Triftern market.

In terms of church, Ulbering was originally a branch of the Triftern parish and since 1910 it was a branch . In 1921 the parish of Ulbering was established.

Due to the southern flair, which is characterized by the well-maintained club life and the local music culture, the small town of Ulbering is also known as the "northernmost village in Italy" . It was founded on September 24, 1965.
