Uli Rothfuss

Uli Rothfuss (* 1961 in Ebershardt , Baden-Württemberg) is a German cultural scientist and writer .

life and work

Uli Rothfuss is the author of numerous volumes of poetry and essays, novels, plays and non-fiction books on cultural studies that he has published since 1985.

Rothfuss, who publishes for Die Zeit , Welt am Sonntag , the literary magazines Matrix and Bawülon as well as a number of online media, was head of the cultural department of the city of Calw, honorary professor for literature and theater education at the Eupen University of Education, professor for cultural education at the private International University of Calw and lecturer for verbal design at the Schwäbisch Hall University of Design . From 2007 to 2013 he was rector of the IB University Berlin . Since 2013 he has been the rector and head of the university program of the Stein- based private academy for art and design Faber-Castell.

Rothfuss is a member of the Association of German Writers , the PEN Center Germany and the European authors' association Die Kogge , which he chairs. He is a member of the International Institute for the Human Rights , based in Strasbourg, and the Académie Européenne des Arts, Sciences et Lettres , based in Paris. He is also active as an advisor to the European Parliament and the OSCE and as a ›Scientific Expert‹ for the German Academic Exchange Service in the field of international cultural and academic cooperation.

Uli Rothfuss lives in Zirndorf and Calw .
