The Ulinzi Stars are a football club from Nakuru in Kenya . The club plays its home games in the Afraha Stadium .
history
The Ulinzi Stars are the Kenyan military's football club . The President Mwai Kibaki is also the president of the association. The club plays in the top division, the Kenyan Premier League . The stars won these awards in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2010, so four times so far. With the AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia FC, they were the third team to win the championship three times in a row. Originally the club belonged to the city of Thika , since the 2004/05 season it has belonged to Nakuru .
Ulinzi won the "Kenyan Sports Team of the Year" award in 2010. The Ulinzi Stars are also the country's military team, and they qualified for the 2011 World Military Games.
Unlike other football clubs in Kenya, the Stars also have a very successful basketball department (Ulinzi Warriors), which was dissolved in 2007, although they won the championship five times in a row. They also have a rugby department (Ulinzi RFC), and a volleyball and handball team.
