Ulrich Gauss

Ulrich Gauß (born May 17, 1932 in Stuttgart ) is a German local politician of the FDP / DVP .

Live and act

Gauss studied in Tübingen Jura and in 1958 a doctorate . In 1960 he passed the second state examination in law. Gauß then worked as a court assessor and public prosecutor and from 1965 worked in the Ministry of Justice. From February 1970 to January 27, 1994 he was Lord Mayor of Waiblingen . At the beginning of his term of office, the communities of Beinstein , Bittenfeld , Hegnach , Hohenacker and Neustadt , which were previously independent, were incorporated. Under his aegis the circular sports hall , the indoor swimming pool, the community center and the Talau nature park were built.

For his services he received the Federal Cross of Merit in 1984, and in 1990 the Golden Plaque of the city of Waiblingen. In 1997 he became an honorary citizen of Waiblingen.

Gauß has been married since 1964.
