Ulrich Klaus

Ulrich Klaus (born March 25, 1950 in Aalen ) is a German educator, sports official and acting president of the German Tennis Association .

Life

Until his retirement in 2013, Klaus worked as a teacher and most recently as deputy headmaster at the Koblenz high school on the Karthauser. Under his leadership, a tennis performance center was established there at the end of the 1990s, and the grammar school has received special support since then as an elite sports school .

Since 2003 Klaus has been at the head of the Rhineland-Palatinate tennis association. In November 2014 he was elected President of the German Tennis Federation.

Klaus is married and has two grown children. He lives in Waldesch .
