Eduard H. Dörrenberg

Eduard Hermann Dörrenberg (born April 20, 1909 in Düsseldorf ; † November 7, 1988 ) was a German entrepreneur and sports official . From 1973 to 1975 he was President of the German Tennis Association .

Life

Dörrenberg, son of the factory owner Richard Dörrenberg, attended the Reformrealgymnasium in Düsseldorf and graduated from the Technical University of Karlsruhe and the Technical University of Hanover by 1935 with a degree in engineering , worked at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Düsseldorf and was there in particular on the committee for Industrial economy. From 1936, Dörrenberg was the owner of the Rohde & Dörrenberg company in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel and other companies.

With the election of his friend Jost Henkel as President of the German Tennis Association, Dörrenberg became chairman of the Niederrhein district in 1952. After he was elected Vice President of the DTB in 1967, he served as its President from 1973 to 1975.

Dörrenberg was married and the father of four children.
