Karl Weber (doctor)

Karl Weber (born August 10, 1942 in Wangen im Allgäu ) is a German sports doctor, sports scientist and functionary. In 1999 he was President of the German Tennis Federation .

Life

Weber first completed a degree in sports science in Cologne, which he completed in 1966 as a certified sports teacher. He then completed a medical degree in 1974.

In 1986 Weber was appointed professor at the Institute for Movement and Neuroscience at the German Sport University in Cologne . From 1991 to 1995 he was Vice Rector of the university. He has now retired .

Weber, an active tennis player since he was eleven, worked for the German Tennis Association from 1989 to 1997 as a consultant for sports science and a member of the examination board for A-trainers. In 1999 he was its president for one year.
