Der Umblatter is an online magazine for literature and culture operated by German, French and Swiss authors and journalists. From 2005 to 2015, the flipper awarded an annual prize called The Golden Mole for the ten best articles from the German-language feature pages of the past year.
history
The flipper takes a critical look at the cultural reporting of German and European newspapers. Stylistically, the texts are based on journalistic forms of the 1920s (representatives such as Walter Benjamin , Franz Hessel , Kurt Tucholsky ) and on popular literature (compilation of lists, constant change between high and popular culture). The authors report mainly from Leipzig, Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, London, Barcelona, St. Petersburg and Constance.
In 2010 the flipper was nominated for the Grimme Online Award .

The golden mole
From 2005 to 2015, Der Um Blätterer awarded the “Golden Mole”, a feature prize for the ten best articles of the past year, at the beginning of the year. The "Golden Mole" was described in the Austrian daily newspaper Die Presse as the " Oscar Night" of the feature pages.
