The substation Sokolnice ( Czech Rozvodná Sokolnice ) is a transformer station in the Czech Republic and is situated on the territory of the municipalities Sokolnice and Telnice in the South Moravian Region , about 10 km south-east of Brno (Brno). The system now has voltage levels of 380 kV , 220 kV and 110 kV, with the extra-high voltage lines being operated by the Czech transmission system operator ČEPS and the 110 kV lines by E.ON ( Jihočeská energetika in Czech until 2004 ).
The system is used to supply the greater Brno area and the entire South Moravian region. With direct connections to Austria and Slovakia , the most important network node in Moravia is also very important in the European network .
history
At the time of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia , there were plans to continue the Reichsammelschiene , which ran from Helmstedt through Thuringia and Bavaria to Austria , through Czech territory to the Upper Silesian industrial area . Construction of this line began in 1942, but it could no longer be completed due to the Second World War .
It was only after the war, in 1952, that the Sokolnice substation was commissioned as one of the first of this voltage level in Moravia. In 1954, a 220 kV line connection from Sokolnice to Říkovice with an initial 110 kV voltage was put into operation. In the same year Sokolnice was connected to the Opočínek substation near Pardubice , this single-circuit line was initially operated with 110 kV. The 220 kV switchgear in Sokolnice was completed in 1957, at the same time the line to Říkovice was extended to Prosenice and a second 220 kV circuit was added.
In 1958 the line leading to Austria, the construction of which began during the war, was completed. Since 1959 there has been a continuous two-circuit 220 kV connection from the Bisamberg substation via Sokolnice, Prosenice and Liskovec to Poland .
Since 1966 Sokolnice has had a 380 kV connection from the Prunéřov power plant .
construction
The substation has switchgears for 380 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV voltage levels between which several coupling transformers are connected (1 × 380/220 kV, 1 × 380/110 kV, 2 × 220/110 kV).
A special feature of the system is that the 380 kV switchgear is located on a separate site, which is south of the Dunávka brook and is separated from the rest of the substation by this.
cables
Are connected to the substation
- A two-circuit 380 kV line to the Slavětice substation
- One single-circuit 380 kV line each to the Čebín and Otrokovice substations
- Two single-circuit 380 kV lines to Slovakia ( Stupava and Križovany )
- A two-circuit 220 kV line each to the Bisamberg substation in Austria and Prosenice
- One single-circuit 220 kV line each to the Tábor and Opočínek substations (near Pardubice )
- A single circuit 220 kV line to Slovakia ( Senica )
There are also several 110 kV lines for regional energy supply.
