Undine Lang

Undine Emmi Annelore Lang (born January 8, 1974 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian psychiatrist and psychotherapist .

Life

Lang studied medicine at the University of Tübingen from 1992 to 1998 and received her doctorate there in 1999. From 1998 to 2001 she worked as an assistant doctor at the Charité Psychiatric Clinic in Berlin, where she was approved in 2000 . From November 2001 to December 2003 she devoted herself to research in the field of neurotrophins with a grant from the Commission for the Promotion of Young Women Scientists at the Free University of Berlin . From January to August 2004 she again worked as an assistant doctor at the Charité Psychiatric Clinic and from September 2004 to September 2005 as an assistant doctor at the Neurological Clinic of the University of Tübingen. Lang trained as a behavior therapist and later a supervisor. In 2005 she completed her habilitation at the Free University of Berlin.

In 2006/07, Lang was a senior physician at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University Hospital Dresden as well as a lecturer at the University of Dresden for the subjects of psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychology. From June 2007 she was a senior physician at the acute ward and admission ward of the Charité Psychiatric Clinic in Berlin. Since January 1, 2012, she has been a full professor of adult psychiatry at the University of Basel and chief physician of the adult psychiatric clinic at the University Psychiatric Clinics in Basel .
