Most unusual book title of the year

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The most unusual book title of the year is a literary prize that has been awarded annually since 2013 at the Leipzig Book Fair for the previous year. The decision is made by an expert jury and readers via the What do you read? , the online book community of Mayersche Buchhandlung .

Details

The award was based on the 1979 British awarded Bookseller / Diagram Prize for Oddest Title of the Year initiated, similar to that at the Frankfurt Book Fair awarded oddest book title of the year .

The prize winner is chosen by the online book community “What are you reading?” At Mayersche Buchhandlung and a jury of experts. In a three-stage process, a longlist is first drawn up, from which a ten-book shortlist is created by means of online voting , from which the jury of experts selects the winner. The laureate receives a trophy and a surprise prize.
