The União das Freguesias de Portela e Extremo is a Portuguese municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) Arcos de Valdevez in northwestern Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Portela and Extremo . Portela became the seat of the new administration.
