University Athletic Association
The University Athletic Association ( UAA ), also known as Nerdy Nine or Egghead Eight , is an eight university league for various sports that play in NCAA Division III . The UUA is the only league whose members are all members of the Association of American Universities , a network of leading North American research universities.
The league was founded in 1986. Members are located in the states of Georgia , Illinois , Missouri , Pennsylvania , Massachusetts , Ohio, and New York . The headquarters are in Rochester , New York.

All universities except Brandeis were founding members. The Johns Hopkins University was another founding member, but is now a member of the UAA more.
