Of Our Lady (Bronnen)
The Roman Catholic branch church of Our Lady is located in Bronnen , a district of Salgen in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria . The church is a listed building.
History and description of the building
The branch church was built in the middle of the 18th century and is easted . It consists of a single nave longhouse with a flat ceiling and rounded corners. This is followed by the drafted choir . The choir is built on the plan of a stilted semicircle. On the gable of the west facade is a roof turret with an onion hood .
Interior
The altars of the branch church date from the end of the 17th century. The figures of the high altar and the left side altar date from the middle of the 18th century. In the high altar there is a large figure of the Immaculate . This is flanked by figures of St. Joachim and St. Anna. Below is a caryatid angel . On the left side altar there is a representation of St. John of Nepomuk . Half-figures of St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena are on pieces of entablature. The altar panel on the right side altar dates from the 17th century and shows Jesus Christ as the judge of the world .
In the church there are small aedicules from around 1700. There are paintings in these. You can see the vision of the cross of St. Francis and in the excerpt of St. Dominic and St. Anthony of Padua and in the extract above the donation of the rosary to St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena.
The rococo stucco was created around 1750. Franz Joseph Riggenmann created the frescoes for the church in 1751 . The frescoes show the coronation of Mary in the choir and the evangelists to the side . In the nave is the fresco, renewed in 1911, depicting Michael Lucifer falling. Cartridges show church fathers .
