coat of arms
Blazon : "In a shield split by a lowered silver (white) tip of blue and gold (yellow), in it three green linden leaves in three-pass position (1: 2), in front a golden (yellow) eagle flight, behind an upright red sheep shears." | |
Foundation of the coat of arms: The eagle flight comes from the coat of arms of the Lords of Erffa . The Castle Unterlind was built in 1710 for the imperial general Feldzeugmeister Georg Hartmann of Erffa. The sheep shears are reminiscent of the tradition of sheep farming in the community. The lime leaves are talking for the place name. |
