Upper Demerara-Berbice is a central region in Guyana . It borders the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara , Demerara-Mahaica and Mahaica-Berbice regions in the north, the East Berbice Corentyne region in the east and the Potaro-Siparuni and Cuyuni-Mazaruni regions in the west. In the region lies Linden , the second largest city in Guyana. Other cities are Ituni , Kalkuni , Kwakwani , Kurupakari , Rockstone and Takama .
