Initially still a supplementary player, he developed into a regular player by 1986, in that year he rose with the team in the third division. Although the club settled there directly in the front part of the table, it was not until the relay win in 1989 that he returned to the second division. With a season goal in 24 season games, Stoltz had contributed to the promotion. In the following season he completed 22 of the 26 season games, at the end of the season one point was missing on season winner BK Häcken to participate in the promotion round to Allsvenskan .

Due to a league reform, the 1991 season was separated into a spring and autumn series. In the autumn series, the club qualified as leader of the table for the promotion round to the first division. There she first defeated BK Häcken and IK Brage , but in the final third round the Gothenburg club Västra Frölunda IF prevailed due to the away goals rule . Also in 1992 the team moved into the promotion round, this time they were successful with two wins against IFK Sundsvall in the last round, Stoltz rose with her after 191 league games in the second and third division in the Allsvenskan. In the first year he came to 19 first division games, in the following years the number decreased. To the runner-up behind IFK Göteborg in the 1995 season, he had only contributed in five games. After almost half a year in Asia, Stoltz returned to Sweden in the spring of 1997 and joined the then third division Landskrona BoIS , where he immediately established himself as a regular. With this he rose to the second division at the end of the year. With one point behind Kalmar FF , he missed the team at the end of the 1998 season, despite the better goal difference, the direct march through to the Allsvenskan, even in the relegation games she was not successful thanks to two defeats against Trelleborgs FF . In the 1999 season he was in all 26 games on the field, as fifth in the table he qualified with the club for the newly introduced single-track Superettan as the second highest division. Here he played one more season, as fourth in the table he missed the relegation games to Allsvenskan with the team behind Mjällby AIF . After 90 games and nine league goals for Landskrona BoIS, he ended his professional career.

After the end of his active career, Stoltz was successful at Landskrona BoIS as an assistant coach until the end of 2004 , but was still active for the amateur club Asmundtorps IF at times . He later worked as an amateur trainer. In 2012 he rose to fifth class with Hittarps IK .
