Uroš Zorman (born January 9, 1980 in Kranj , SR Slovenia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Slovenian handball player who now works as a handball trainer.

Zorman, who last played for the Polish club KS Kielce and played for the Slovenian national team, was used on the back center .

Career

Uroš Zorman began playing handball at Slovan Ljubljana, where he also played his first league games. Later he went to RD Prule 67, where he won the Slovenian double from the championship and the cup in 2002 and thus played himself in the field of vision of foreign clubs. In 2003 he moved to Ademar León in the Spanish league ASOBAL , but returned to Slovenia after only one season and joined series champion RK Celje , with whom he won the EHF Champions League in 2003/04 and the Slovenian championship in 2005 and 2006. In 2006 he made a new attempt in Spain, this time at BM Ciudad Real . Here he won the Spanish championship and the Copa ASOBAL in the first season . In the 2007/2008 season he won the championship, the cup, the Copa ASOBAL, the Supercup and the Champions League with Ciudad Real . In the 2008/09 season he was again with Ciudad Real champions and won the Champions League in the same year . Then he returned to Celje. In 2010 Zorman switched to the Polish club KS Kielce, with whom he won the championship in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 trophies and the EHF Champions in 2016 League won, the latter now for the 4th time with 3 different clubs.

With the Slovenian national team, Uroš Zorman moved into the finals of the 2004 European Handball Championship in their own country, but lost to the German team there. In the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship was missing in Germany Zorman due to injury. At the European Championships in 2012 he was appointed the best central backcourt player in the “ All-Star Team ”. He was a member of the Slovenian squad at the 2016 Olympic Games .

Zorman ended his playing career in summer 2018 and became assistant coach at KS Kielce. Since March 2019 he has also been working as an assistant coach for the Slovenian national team. After the 2019/20 season, he ended his work at KS Kielce. He then took over the coaching position from the Slovenian club RK Trimo Trebnje .
