Ute Angerhoefer (born September 17, 1937 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a German educator .

Life

Ute Angerhoefer was born on September 17, 1937 in Brandenburg an der Havel and was baptized as a Protestant . In 1955 she passed her Abitur in Werder (Havel) , which was followed by training as a teacher at the Institute for Teacher Education in Potsdam until 1956 . She worked as a teacher in several primary schools , each in the lower grades, in the Jüterbog district and in the Pestalozzi auxiliary school in her hometown. In 1964 she began studying auxiliary school education at the Humboldt University in Berlin , which she completed two years later with the state examination for special education . She then worked until 1977 as a research assistant and senior assistant at the university, in the rehabilitation pedagogy and communication science section. During this time she was raised by her University 1971 Doctor of Pedagogy PhD and 1975 for Rehabilitation Education habilitation .

In 1978 Angerhoefer moved to the University of Rostock in the field of special education (later the institute for special and curative education). Here she became a university lecturer in 1979 and an associate professor for special and curative education in 1987 . Since 1992 she has been a professor for pedagogy for the learning disability / rehabilitation pedagogy and was retired in 2001 .

From 1987 to 1989 she headed the special education science department and was then spokesperson for the Institute for Special Education until 1994. Since 1990 she has also been a member of the Takeover Commission, the founding commission for educational sciences and from 1991 also a member of the faculty council for educational sciences (all until 1994). From 1994 to 1996 she was a member of the faculty council.

Apart from his academic career, Angerhoefer was a member of the Federal Association of German Special Schools (Department of Education, Training and Continuing Education of Special Pedagogues) and acted as scientific support for curriculum development, the introduction of English at special needs schools and the establishment of special needs centers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Furthermore, she is or was a member of the Central Expert Commission for Special Education in the GDR, the Curriculum Development Commission at the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the GDR , the Curriculum Development Commission Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the working group of the German Society for Educational Science to support the transformation processes in the East German universities and colleges.
