Uwe Höfferer (born April 6, 1965 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and SPÖ state manager. From 2012 to 2013 he was a member of the Salzburg state parliament .

education and profession

Höfferer first passed the Matura and then studied journalism and political science at the University of Salzburg . In 1992 he joined the media department of the Salzburg Chamber of Labor and in 1999 moved to the office of the then President of the Chamber of Labor , Alexander Böhm . From July 1, 2003 to the end of 2006, he was office manager of the Chamber of Labor President Siegfried Pichler . At the beginning of 2007, after the death of Martin Apeltauer , Höfferer took over the role of regional manager of the Salzburg Social Democrats at the suggestion of Governor Gabi Burgstaller and subsequently led the SPÖ Salzburg through several election campaigns, whereby the SPÖ was able to defend its position as the party with the most votes in the 2009 state elections .

Höfferer has a daughter with his partner.

Höfferer succeeded Walter Steidl as a member of the state parliament on October 3, 2012 , after Steidl had been elected as regional councilor in the Salzburg state government . Within the SPÖ state parliament club, he assumed the function of the area spokesman for labor market, sport, democracy & constitution and consumer protection and became a member of the committee for economy and energy, the financial monitoring committee and the education committee. School, sports and culture committee elected. As political concerns, Höfferer cites the same starting opportunities as possible for all children and young people through the free kindergarten and all-day school as well as the further development of parliamentary democracy through the expansion of direct democracy and a stronger right to vote.
