Uziel Muñoz Galarza (born September 8, 1995 ) is a Mexican shot putter who occasionally starts in a discus throw .

Athletic career

Uziel Muñoz gained his first international experience at the Central America and Caribbean Junior Championships 2014 in Morelia , where he won the silver medal in the shot put with a distance of 17.35 m, as well as with 51.87 m in the discus throw. In 2018 he took fourth place at the Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) in Barranquilla with 19.87 m and in 2019 he won the bronze medal behind the Poles Konrad Bukowiecki and Andrew at the Summer Universiade in Naples with a stroke of 20.45 m Liskowitz from the United States. He then took part in the Pan American Games in Lima , where he also won the bronze medal with 20.56 m, this time behind the Brazilian Darlan Romani and Jordan Geist from the United States. He also qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where he did not reach the final with 19.06 m .

From 2017 to 2019, Muñoz was the Mexican champion in the shot put.
