The Véronne is a river in France , in the department of Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It rises in the Monts du Cantal , on the northeast flank of the Rocher de l'Aigue mountain peak , in the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park . The river runs in a northerly direction and after 20 kilometers north of Riom-ès-Montagnes flows into the Petite Rhue as a left tributary .
