Geographical location
The municipality is located in the north-west of the Cantal department, in the Véronne valley and in the middle of the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park (Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne). It has an area of 46.48 square kilometers and is at an altitude of 575 to 1102 meters.
