Jaleyrac ( Occitan : Jalairac ) is a commune with 370 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mauriac and the canton of Ydes (until 2015: canton of Mauriac ).

geography

Jaleyrac is located in the northwestern foothills of the Monts-du-Cantal massif, about 38 kilometers north-northwest of Aurillac . Jaleyrac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Veyrières in the north, Bassignac in the northeast, Méallet in the east, Le Vigean in the south, Sourniac in the west and Arches in the northwest.
