Beaulieu ( Occitan : Bel Luoc ) is a French commune with a population of 94 (as at 1st January 2017) in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mauriac and the canton of Ydes (until 2015: canton of Champs-sur-Tarentaine-Marchal ).

geography

Beaulieu is the northernmost commune in the Cantal department. It is located about 45 kilometers southwest of Clermont-Ferrand . The dammed Dordogne limits the municipality to the west. Beaulieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Labessette in the north, Trémouille-Saint-Loup in the east, Lanobre in the south, Sarroux in the west and south-west and Monestier-Port-Dieu in the west and north-west.
