history
The history of VR Bank eG goes back to 1891.
In 1891 the savings and loan bank was founded in Gimbsheim. On September 4, 1982, 21 members of the local agricultural association founded the Alsheim savings and loan association. The savings and loan bank in Bechtheim was also established in this year.
The savings and loan bank Bechtheim changed its name in 1967 to Volksbank Bechtheim eG. In 1978 the savings and loan funds Gimbsheim and Alsheim merged to form Raiffeisenbank Alsheim-Gimbsheim eG. In 2012 Raiffeisenbank merged with Volksbank Bechtheim eG to form VR Bank eG, based in Alsheim.
VR Bank eG, based in Alsheim, has since had four branches in Alsheim , Bechtheim , Gimbsheim and Mettenheim .
