The Val Trebbia is a valley in the northern Italian regions of Liguria , Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna . Shaped by the river of the same name , it extends from Monte Prelà in the metropolitan city of Genoa to the province of Piacenza and the Oltrepò Pavese near Brallo di Pregola . After a course of about 118 kilometers the Trebbia flows into the Po at Rottofreno .

The valley in the Apennine Mountains borders the Val d'Aveto and Val Nure to the east, and the Val Borbera , Val Boreca , Valle Staffora , Val Tidone and Val Luretta to the west . It is accessed from the SS45 state road.
