Valda (German outdated: Wald im Fasstal ) is a fraction of the municipality ( comune ) Altavalle and was an independent municipality in Trentino in the Trentino-South Tyrol region until 2015 .

The village is about 18 kilometers northeast of Trento on the orographic right side of the valley of the Avisio carrying Cembratales .
history
On January 1, 2016, the municipalities of Valda, Faver , Grumes and Grauno merged to form the new municipality of Altavalle. The municipality Valda belonged valley community Comunità della Valle di Cembra and had km² 217 inhabitants in an area of 6 on December 31, 2015. Neighboring communities were Salurn in ( BZ) as well as Grumes, Faver and Segonzano .
