Grumes (German outdated: Grumeis ) is a fraction of the municipality ( comune ) Altavalle and until 2016 was an independent municipality in Trentino in the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol .
geography
Grumes is located about 21 kilometers northeast of Trento on the orographic right side of the Cembra Valley through which the Avisio flows . The municipality was part of the valley community Comunità della Valle di Cembra and bordered directly to South Tyrol . The neighboring communities were Grauno , Salurn (BZ), Segonzano , Sover and Valda .

On January 1, 2016, the municipalities of Grumes, Valda, Faver and Grauno merged to form the new municipality of Altavalle.
