Valentin Siebrecht

Valentin Siebrecht (born October 9, 1907 ; † August 31, 1996 ) was a German economist and President of the State Labor Office in Southern Bavaria.

Live and act

Siebrecht studied in Vienna , Berlin and Frankfurt am Main and obtained his doctorate in 1933. rer. pole. In the years 1933-1936 he worked as a statistician at the Darmstadt employment office , from 1936-1937 at the Hessen State Employment Office as a clerk for economic structure, then as a statistical advisor (1938-45), from April 1945 acting head and from July 1945-1954 as an advisor for Job placement. After years as a department head at the Federal Agency for Employment and Unemployment Insurance (1954–57), Siebrecht headed the State Labor Office of Southern Bavaria (Munich) as its president (1957–72).

He worked extensively as a journalist in daily newspapers and magazines on labor market policy and welfare on issues of labor administration and their systematic preparation for practice.
