Valerie Wilson Wesley
Valerie Wilson Wesley (born November 22, 1947 in Connecticut ) is an American journalist and writer .
Life
Growing up on US military bases in Spain and Germany, she studied philosophy and journalism at Howard University , a private university for African-Americans . Her articles have appeared in the New York Times , in women's magazines such as Essence or Family Circle , in German in Weltwoche . The German translations of her novels - with the detective novel series Ein Fall für Tamara Hayle - are published by Diogenes Verlag . Her children's books, including the seven-volume series Willimena Rules! , have not yet been translated into German.
It is the playwright and screenwriter -author Richard Wesley married, with whom she has two daughters.
