The Valler Tal (often also Valser Tal or simply Vals , Italian Val di Valles ) is a valley in the Fundres Mountains in South Tyrol ( Italy ).

The main town of the Valler Valley is the village of Vals ( 1350  m slm ), which is scattered across a valley . The valley runs in a north-south direction and lies west of the Pfunderer valley, which runs parallel to it . The Valler Tal branches off towards the north at the transition from the Pustertal to the Eisack valley (the assignment of this section to one of the two valley communities varies in the regional descriptions). It is drained by the Valser Bach ; this flows into the Rienza near Mühlbach .

Two smaller high valleys branch off from the Valler Tal. A little south of Vals, the Altfasstal opens up to the northeast, with the three Seefeld lakes at the end of the valley . In addition, the valley of the Seebach branches off to the west in the rear Valler valley, at the end of which lies the Wilde See .

In the Valler Tal area are the Jochtal and Gitschberg ski areas and there are numerous cross-country trails .

A well-known excursion destination is the Fane Alm ( 1705  m slm ) in the rear Valler Tal, an alpine village that emerged in the Middle Ages as a hospital for plague and cholera sufferers. The road leading to Fane is closed to public traffic for the last five kilometers in the summer months. However, a shuttle service is offered during this time.

Even further back in the valley on the Pfunderer Höhenweg is the Brixner Hütte ( 2307  m slm ).
