The Vandenesse is a river in France , who in the department of Côte-d'Or in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté runs.

course

It rises in the municipality of Créancey , near Beaume , near the A38 motorway and generally drains in a south-easterly direction. After crossing the village of Créancey , it reaches the Canal de Bourgogne , which here comes into daylight again after passing the 3333-meter-long canal tunnel Voûte de Pouilly-en-Auxois . The Vandenesse now accompanies this shipping canal along its entire course and is partly used for its water supply. The A6 motorway runs parallel to these bodies of water . After a total of around 18 kilometers, the Vandenesse in the municipal area of Crugey reaches the Ouche River , into which it joins as a left tributary. The estuary is close to the village of Pont d'Ouche , which is already part of the municipality of Aubaine .
