Veena Sud

Veena Cabreros Sud (born June 25, 1967 in Toronto , Canada ) is an American film producer , screenwriter , film director and essayist .

Life

Veena Cabreros Sud is of Filipino, Hindu, and Native American descent. She grew up in Ohio . She studied political science , women's studies and film at Columbia University , where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1989 . In 1999 she did her Masters in the film program at New York University . After she wrote 16 episodes for the crime series Cold Case from 2003 to 2007 and worked on a total of 23 episodes as a story editor, the crime series The Killing , which she produced, was broadcast on the TV channel AMC in 2010 . The television series is an American remake of the Danish crime series Commissioner Lund - The Crime .
