The Vennegosse is an orographically left tributary of the Black Trench in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . It has a length of 7.2 km.
River course
The Venne Gosse arises in the Delbrücker district Westenholz Wiebeler belonging peasantry and flows out to the southwest. After around 3.8 kilometers of flowing, the stream enters the urban area of Rietberg and runs south along the Mastholter See and the village of Mastholte , where the Haselhorst water is absorbed on the right . To the southwest of Mastholte, the Vennegosse flows into the Black Trench on the left .
The Vennegosse overcomes a height difference of 16 meters during its course of the river, which runs primarily over agricultural terrain, resulting in an average bed gradient of 2.2 ‰.
etymology
The term Venn , which occurs as a field and street name in the area where the water is crossed, describes a swampy, swampy valley in the Low German region . This type of landscape is said to have once extended as a barren heathland interspersed with cripple pines from Mastholte to the Delbrücker Land . The term gutter is originally a name for a sewer channel.
