The transport company Wartburgkreis mbH, short VGW was, for the implementation of public transport within the Wartburg circle responsible. The transport company was founded on December 19, 1996. In spring 2016, a passenger advisory board for the Wartburg district and the city of Eisenach was founded under the leadership of VGW . Public transport issues are discussed and advised with representatives of the VGW and representatives of the city and the Wartburg district in regular meetings . The passenger advisory board has set itself the task of helping to shape local public transport. An exchange with other passenger advisory boards in Germany is also to take place.
