The Verlorenerbach is a three-kilometer-long left tributary of the Sauer in Alsace , in the Grand Est region .

The Verlorenerbach rises at an altitude of about 403  m in the Forêt de Gœrsdorf in the Northern Vosges, northwest of Lampertsloch, directly west of the Col du Wiep . It flows in a north-westerly direction, its main direction of flow, which it essentially maintains up to its mouth, through the wooded Schwarzthal and finally flows south of the Lembach settlement Eichholz at an altitude of about 179  m from the left into the Sauer .

On the other side, a little further north, the Markbach flows into the Sauer .
