The Evangelical Lutheran Reconciliation Church is the village church of Detter , a district of Zeitlofs in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen . The church is one of the architectural monuments of Zeitlofs and is registered together with the churchyard wall under the number D-6-72-166-5 in the Bavarian list of monuments . The church belongs to the parish of Weissbach in the deanery Lohr am Main .

history

The beginnings of the place Detter are not known. However, Detter was settled before it was first mentioned in a document in 1317, as the church tower was built in the Romanesque period. In terms of church, the place initially belonged to the original parish of Oberleichtersbach . Since 1453 Detter belonged to the newly founded parish of Zeitlofs. In 1553 the Reformation was introduced in Weißenbach and Detter . The nave of the church was built at the beginning of the 17th century . In 1745 the parish was changed to the new Weißenbach parish.

description

The western church tower with a Welsch dome has a barrel vault on the ground floor . The nave with a turret on the south side, on the other hand, has a flat roof. The church was fitted out towards the end of the 17th century. The altar with a crucifix is on the east side, the pulpit on the north wall. The wooden gallery takes up a large part of the southern wall and the entire western wall. The organ is also located on the latter . The church contains the tomb of Johann Friedrich von Thüngen † 1689.
