In the administrative community of Effeltrich in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim , the following communities have come together to handle their administrative business:

The seat of the administrative community is the municipality of Effeltrich.

The corporation was originally founded as an administrative community Langensendelbach . As a result of the dismissal of the community of Langensendelbach with effect from January 1, 1980, the name was changed and the headquarters were relocated.
