The city of Heringen / Helme and six municipalities were united in the administration community Goldene Aue from the Thuringian district of Nordhausen to handle their administrative business. It was between the cities of Nordhausen and Sangerhausen . 7469 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​101.04 km² (as of December 31, 2007). The seat of the administrative community was Heringen / Helme.

The last community chairman was Bodo Reitzig.

The municipalities

history

The administrative community was founded on March 18, 1992. On December 21, 1995, the Urbach community joined the administrative community. On December 1, 2010, the city of Heringen / Helme and the communities of Auleben, Hamma, Uthleben and Windehausen merged to form the new city of Heringen / Helme. Heringen also became a fulfilling community for Görsbach and Urbach. The administrative community was thus dissolved.
