The administrative community Hexental is a community administration association in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald on the southern Upper Rhine , Baden-Württemberg , Germany . It was founded on September 30, 1971 by the participating communities as part of the regional reform in Baden-Württemberg and named after its location in the Hexental . One goal was to maintain political independence and not to be affiliated with the city of Freiburg . The construct of an administrative community (as a generic term for municipal administration association and agreed administrative community ) was new at that time.
The municipal administration association consists of the following municipalities:
Around 10,000 people currently live in the Hexental administrative community. It is based in Merzhausen.
