In the administrative community Vier Berge-Teucherner Land of the Burgenlandkreis eight communities were united to handle their administrative business. The administrative seat was in the city of Teuchern . On January 1, 2011, the administrative community was dissolved and the new town and unitary community of Teuchern was formed from the former member communities.
The administrative community was formed on January 1, 2005 from the dissolved administrative communities Vier Berge and Teucherner Land . On July 1, 2007, the municipality of Deuben was added from the Zeitzer Land administrative community.
On January 1, 2009, the community Leißling moved to the administrative community Weißenfelser Land.
