history
Gröben belonged to 1815 as an enclave in office Weissenfels the Saxon Office Pegau . From the city of Teuchern and the municipalities of Deuben, Gröben, Gröbitz, Krauschwitz, Nessa, Prittitz and Trebnitz, the unified municipality of Teuchern will be formed by law on January 1, 2011 . Blazon : "In a wavy cut divided by blue and silver, the stems facing upwards, two mutually slanted silver linden leaves, at the bottom a black miner's teeth between two blue ears."
For the desired symbolism and tinging , the commission said: “It is a two-part coat of arms in the basic colors blue and white, the colors of the place. The two linden leaves represent the districts of Gröben and Runthal, which together form the municipality of Gröben. The linden tree is a typical tree in both districts (village streets and village square). In between flows the Rippach , a stream that divides and connects them equally. The miner's mark symbolizes the mining industry, which gave many residents a living and wages for decades. Part of the Riebeckschen Montanwerke, later the 'Erich Weinert' lignite combine, belonged to Gröben. It was the 'Voss' part of the business, where there was a heavy work and briquette presses . ”This requirement was met. To underline the village character, the mallet and iron accompanying ears have been added. The tincture blue refers to the Rippach.
The coat of arms was designed in 2004 by the Magdeburg local heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .
The colors of the district and the flag are white and blue.
