Vespa Primavera
The Vespa Primavera is a motor scooter from the manufacturer Piaggio , which sells its classic product line under the brand name Vespa .
Model history
The Vespa Primavera was presented at EICMA 2013 as the successor to the Vespa LX , after pictures of prototypes had appeared on the Internet several times before. The Vespa Primavera is based on the Vespa LX and the Vespa 946 and is available with two 50 cm³, one 125 cm³ and one 150 cm³ engines with variomatic transmission. It has a newly designed, self-supporting body made of sheet steel, which, although significantly larger than the Vespa LX, is still very manoeuvrable and is particularly suitable for city and short-distance traffic. The 11-inch chassis also offers sufficient stability on longer journeys. The large storage compartment under the bench and the compartment in the leg shield also make it very suitable for everyday use.
The name Primavera ( Italian : spring) is reminiscent of the Vespa 125 Primavera , which is the most successful Vespa series with over 240,000 units built.
Vespa Sprint
As a sporty offshoot of the Vespa Primavera, the Vespa Sprint was introduced in spring 2014, which, like the Vespa S , has the same technology as the Vespa Primavera, but differs from it in some details. The most obvious difference is the trapezoid headlight, but the Sprint also has a 12-inch chassis, which gives it better straight-line stability. The name Sprint refers to the Vespa 150 Sprint , a sporty model from the 1960s .
Special models "Vespa Primavera 50 ° Anniversario"
At the Eicma motorcycle fair in November 2017 the special models "Vespa Primavera 50 ° Anniversario" were presented to the general public for the first time. The special models are produced in a light blue single-layer lacquer as well as in an espresso brown silk gloss lacquer. A white bench is mounted on both variants. The Primavera 50 ° Anniversario is equipped with 12 inch tires and aluminum rims with a 5-spoke design. Remote control for opening the seat and the so-called "Bike Finder" are included in this special model. Other special components of the special models are chrome parts, LED headlights and taillights.

In Italy , Spain or France Vespas are more of an everyday vehicle and compete in price with vehicles from Japan , Taiwan or South Korea . In German-speaking countries, Vespas are often considered an expression of a lifestyle and are subject to different pricing. Some gray market dealers take advantage of this fact by purchasing vehicles from southern and eastern Europe on a large scale at favorable conditions and importing them into German-speaking countries. These vehicles are mainly offered on the Internet and sent by forwarding agency. However, vehicles imported in this way are sold by unauthorized two-wheeler dealers and are excluded from the Europe-wide guarantee program and the mobility guarantee. Since no assembly and no handover inspection according to the manufacturer's specifications is carried out, damage to the vehicle can occur which must be repaired later. In addition, buyers of these vehicles cannot be contacted by the manufacturer in the event of a safety-critical recall campaign. In spite of what gray market dealers say to the contrary, these vehicles are only subject to the statutory warranty and must be repaired by them in the event of a defect.
Since a Vespa holds its value well, the prices of used vehicles are also higher than comparable vehicles from other manufacturers.
