The Vicentine Alps (also Vicentine Alps or Vicentine Pre-Alps , Italian Prealpi Vicentine ) are a mountain group of the Eastern Alps in Trentino and in the provinces of Verona and Vicenza . They were named after the city of Vicenza on the eastern edge . The highest point in the group is the Cima Dodici ( 2337 m slm ) on the northern edge of the mountain range.
Boundary
The Alpine Club division of the Eastern Alps (AVE) delimits the Vicentine Alps as follows: In the west, the Etsch from Verona to Trento delimits the group. Further east, the Fersental forms the border, followed by the Val Sugana ( Brenta ) to Bassano del Grappa and the northern Italian plain, from where Verona is reached again.
Surrounding mountain groups are the Garda Mountains in the west , the Fiemme Valley Alps in the north and the Dolomites in the east .
