Victor von Woikowsky-Biedau (born September 2, 1866 in Nieder-Arnsdorf near Schweidnitz , † January 1, 1935 ibid) was a German composer and senior government councilor.

biography

Victor Hugo Emanuel Adam Maria von Woikowsky-Biedau was the son of Emanuel Woikowsky. He studied history , philosophy and economics at the universities of Leipzig , Freiburg , Berlin and Breslau . He successfully completed his studies with his dissertation on medieval Cologne. Subsequently Woikowsky-Biedau got a job at the Prussian State Statistical Office in Berlin. There he retired with the rank of "senior government councilor". Through this office he also became a member of the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences .

In 1908 Woikowsky-Biedau married Marie Margot von Biedau, née Geißler. He was also the owner of the Leopoldshain estate near Görlitz .
